Marthe Lisson

Marthe earned a degree in Musicology and English Language and Literature and has studied History of Art. She has worked for renowned institutions in Frankfurt am Main: Goethe-University, Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt Book Fair / THE ARTS+ and Oper Frankfurt. As a writer she has contributed to online and print publications in the arts, in German and English, such as the Quietus, Konfekt, Aesthetica, Clash, Openhouse, Bachtrack and SchirnMag. In 2017 she moved to London where she has worked in a bookshop before joining the Whitechapel Gallery to manage the London Art Book Fair and the Richard Schlagman Art Book Awards.

In 2013 she co-founded the university radio DauerWelle at Goethe-University and started the White Room as a radio show.

In 2015 she created the Schirn Kunsthalle Podcast that she has been producing since.

Not finding the kind of music magazine she wanted to read she set out to create her own, combining her love for music and magazines, writing and editing. The result was launched in December 2020.

Marthe is fluent in German and English.

She is an experienced public speaker. Past and present engagements include: radio and podcast presenter, art tour guide, key note speaker, lecturer.

The band of her life are the Bee Gees.
